Handpicked Bouquet

Here is the second stamp set out of my new arrivals from Altenew. I think this is my favourite stamp set of the moment!

This is my second stamped flower (see the first below - it was my first attempt and choice of inks). I have paired it with the lace die.

I added some Copic colouring to the blue petals as there are no extra layering stamps for those flowers.

As I looked at the finished card, I noticed the holes in the lace and thought I could thread some embroidery cotton through to bring in the pink colour.

I also changed the orientation.

A close-up of the threaded cotton and silk ribbon.

These 2 cards make me so happy. I can't wait to send them out.

Sketchy Florals

My new Altenew stamps and dies arrived yesterday.

Pure happiness!

Expect to see some cards with my new supplies in the coming days.

I started with the Sketchy Florals and went with a loose watercolour look.

Hero Arts Tags 4

The last in the series of Hero Arts tags mixing up the new with the old, and different stamp companies too.

Hero Arts Tags 3

My third in the series of Hero Arts tags from the November 2017 Monthly Kit.

This one is paired with "golden oldie" stamp. Anyone recognise the little bird?
It's from the HA Christmas Tags set.

As much as I tried, I could not get a good shot of the shimmer and sparkle of the Diamond Stickles.

Hero Arts Tags 2

Here is my second series of Hero Arts tags. This time I'm using the star from Stamping' Up Night in Bethlehem.

If you stamp the back piece on the "wrong" side of the die cut, then when you glue them together you have a clean cut finish on both sides of the tag.

Hero Arts Tags 1

I'm having fun mixing the November Monthly Kit 2017 (which is still new to me as I got it too late to use for Christmas stamping last year) with older stamps and ombre inks.

Magic

I think these layered bells from Sunny Studio are just magic! They look so real and dimensional.

It's not actually on shiny paper or cardstock. I stamped on plain white card stock in 2 shades of grey (Hero Arts Soft Graphite and Altenew Industrial Diamond) and black. It's the white spaces that make it shine.

Pastel Monoprint

Having used the bright monoprint on my first card (here), I'm now using the paler reverse monoprint.

Such a soft, pastel finish.

Have to have some shimmer with Tonic Nuvo Glitter Gloss!

I actually coloured my white silk ribbon with a light touch of the Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink so that it would match. It's my solution to having so many different colour ribbon. Now I just match it to the ink colour I was using.

Snowy Monoprint

I loved the monoprints that Jennifer McGuire showed on her blog this week. We are so lucky to have her give us these lessons on different techniques.

So here's my take using Distress Oxides.

Yes, this techniques gives you 2 backgrounds!  I used the darker background first.

I added white enamel accents for the snowfall.

Sweet Merry Christmas

Sweet little bird ...

I put gloss accents on the star and the ribbon. The red stripes are washi tape.

Noël 2

He's my other card from my stamped patterned paper (see HERE).

I used half of one of the frames to create the idea of a wreath.

I added red foam to both pop it up and give that extra detail.

Noël 1

It may be in Christmas colours but it's not done using Christmas stamps. These flowers made me thing of Christmas berries. I was going to stamp a small panel down one side of the card, but once I got inking I thought I might as well finish the whole card front. I inked up with Distress markers and spritzed.

I die cut white and black letters and offset them to create a shadow. Some dripping stickles give a frosty Christmas shimmer.

And of course I get a bonus card from the die cut ... come back tomorrow to see it.
