Fancy Fold Charmed Flowers 1

I loved Jennifer McGuire's Stamped Folded cards and had to make my own versions. I decided to try with the Altenew Charmed Stamp ... I just love the fine lines. I was having so much fun with colours, I ended up making three.

This is the first one .... going the full three layers. I chose the Altenew May Challenge colours.

Open the bow to read the sentiment ...

Lift the card to write your message. You can see that I also added one more flap to the back so that the card will be able to stand even when the bow is tied.

Squiggle frame

Do you like doodling? Then this week's CASology Challenge is for you! Our cue word is squiggle.

I picked a stamp set that had a fun artsy doodle design (Roses for you by SSS), hand drew a frame and added some squiggles. Even the sentiment goes with the theme.

Pop on over to the design team to get more inspiration ... and then I'm looking forward to seeing what you will use to create your squiggles ... stamps or hand drawn !

Baby Congrats!

Tuesday means it's time for a new CASology Challenge, and the cue word this week is THRILL.

What can be more THRILLing than welcoming a little one?!

Focus on your image and sentiment by putting them on a tag.

Pop on over to the design team to get more inspiration ... and then I'm looking forward to seeing what brings a thrill to your life.

Painted Rose

The cue word at CASology Challenge is Copper this week.

I stamped the outline stamp in Versamark and embossed in dark brown embossing powder. Then I used Distress Stains in Tarnished Brass (the closest thing I had to copper) to stamp the lightest layer stamps for the flower and leaves. I also used it to colour some white card so that I could die cut my words in the same colour. I love that it has a metallic shimmer.

Pop on over to the design team to get more inspiration ... and then I'm looking forward to seeing how you interpret copper.

Abstract Watercolour

I was so inspired by THIS pin, I decided to have some fun with a few stamps and some watercolour. I just swished some circles with different colours. And don't you love those wonky lines from the Ellen Hutson Wonky Background stamp set?!

This is my entry for ...

... the Colours and Sketches Challenge #271 : Sketch. I inverted the sketch and replaced the one square with a bold sentiment.

On the sea

This week's CASology Challenge with the cue word MARINE is the perfect opportunity to make a masculine card.

Watercolour Wishes

Playing with a mix of old and new supplies ... don't you just love those dots?! I can see many more cards coming with them.

I touched each dot with the corner of a mini Distress Ink using 3 colours, and then spritzed with water.

Background stripes are from the Papertrey Ink borders.

April CCC - Card Reveal

It's time for the reveal of cards sent for the April Card Chain Challenge. My card went winging it's way to Lorraine in England.

I followed the colour theme

It is so good to send a receive a real card! Why don't you join in the May CCC Challenge ... you have until 6 May 2018 to sign up.

I will also enter this to ...

... the Card Concept Challenge ... I took inspiration as a bold flower against a white background.

Post from the Jungle

Having spent some time in South Africa in a game reserve, I thought it would be good to send some mail from "the jungle" for this week's CASology challenge #298 with the cue word JUNGLE.

Pop on over to the design team to get more inspiration ... and then I'm looking forward to seeing how you interpret JUNGLE.
