Magenta ATC Swap

I played in the Magenta ATC Swap. We made 4 ATCs and sent them to our paired partners.

The following 2 used the same flower stamp, but in different ways. The first I did tone-on-tone stamping and added deeper red centers and white dots, then cut them out.

For the second I stamped in black, using masking to get the feel of depth, and coloured in with copics.

Mine went off to Ellie. And here's the ones she sent to me.

Muse Guest Designer

I was delighted when Ardyth asked me to be a guest designer for the Muse Card Club. The inspiration challenges are a wonderful place to kick start one's creativity and the group spirit is wonderful. You can join in the fun, not only with your crafting, but you also get to vote for your top 3 cards when the challenge closes.

So why don't you pop on over and join in?

I have just received my Christmas order of Hero Art supplies, and couldn't resist in baptising some of them! So here's my first Christmas card of the season.

The snow embossing folder is so light yet gives great texture. The stamp is one of Shari's Christmas trees (I got all three!) which I coloured with copics, added Diamond Stickles to the star and mounted on foam. The Peace sentiment is a partial stamp of the Dove Peace stamp of Inkadinkado. I have this wonderful shimmery white thread which is a great addition to snowy or Christmasy cards.

We're almost in November, so if you haven't started your Christmas cards, now is a good time to begin!!

I will also enter this for Hero Arts Holiday Challenge

Christmas Baubles

I love the idea of a curtain of baubles. May even try it as decoration this year.

For the sketch challenge at Annabelle Stamps.

I will also enter this in the Less is More String or Twine challenge.

Mixed the Annabelle stamps with Carta Bella Merry & Bright collection.

Feel Better Soon

Playing along with the Muse Challenge, and their inspiration card.

I like the wildflower, torn paper and colour combo. I decided to tear a little washi tape instead of paper. The enamel dots hang off the edge a little.

It's not so easy to see that the panel is mounted on foam so I look it from both angles.

Thanks

Catching up with challenges and cards I want to make for friends.

I'm participating in the Thanksgiving Crusade, thanking those who have loved, supported and got me where I am today.

For this card I used the sketch from Clean & Simple Stamping

I embossed my new Gratitude Design stamp from Hero Arts in Gold, highlighted one side with white gel pen and giving a shadow black line on the other. Used up a tiny bit of my washi stash.

Orange One-Layer

Whew! I haven't been in my craft room for more than a week. A lot going on at home, and my MIL is in clinic and we need to make alterations to her apartment before she can go home. Busy busy bee.

But I have an afternoon in my studio today. YAY! Playing with paper and ink is just what I need.

Orange is not a colour I use often, but Karen is hosting the OLW Challenge this week, and her theme is orange. I will also enter it for Addicted to CAS one layer challenge, the MoxieFab World Enthralled with Fall Tuesday Trigger Challenge as well as the Crazy for CAS challenge and their inspiration picture.

I used Spiced Marmelade and Ripe Persimmon Distress Inks on my craft mat and inked from there adding a spritz of water to give the watercolour effect. I added a shadow effect with prismacolour pencils.

Chill Out

WOW! Finally my computer is back .... 4 weeks and 2 days to repair my Apple! Most disappointing service.

But now I can chill with the challenge at Our Beautiful World

What better way to chill out than sitting on the beach.

Or having a cool crisp Lettuce Bee cocktail (Lettuce, fresh pineapple, honey and black pepper).

The card scramble at the Hero Arts Flickr Group today was to make a card for kids (1-18 years old).

My first was for my 7 year old niece.

And the second for my 12 year old nephew.

Fab-U-lous

I've just received a new LOTV sentiment set and couldn't wait to play with them. Decided to go with an ombré look with splash of colour to highlight the U (you). Will enter this for the LOTV Anything Goes Challenge and the Simon Says Stamp Dotty Challenge
