The blue theme has the addition of a touch of green - finally! That's a tiny triangle off a piece of Hero Arts Flower dot pattern embossed in white and covered with Crushed Olive Distress Stains.

Twinchie Series 9
So so hot here! So a little reminder ...
Shades of blue are continuing today - it IS my favourite colour! You'll start to see the same scraps coming through. . . the inked & embossed Hero Arts swirl background and the ombre Hero Arts lattice background. A little border punch and some more liquid pearl dots! Makes me think of water.

Twinchie Series 6
Especially for the day of love. . .
The conclusion
is
always the
same:
love is the
most powerful
and still the
most unknown energy of the world.

Teilhard de Chardin
I so enjoy playing with techniques too. Found a piece that I had created a while ago : Started by stamping the Hero Arts Lattice Background and embossing in white. Using distress stains I created an ombre look and spritzed with perfect pearls.
The love is from one of the Club Scrap sentiments. Added white gel pen to give a bit of emphasis. Used some new twine from Annabelle stamps and one of Hero Arts delightful pearl hearts.

Twinchie Series 5
I'm spending some time with family . . .
Lots of little pieces starting with a piece of Club Scrap paper. I can't remember where the white & blue pp comes from - just a little bitty piece left in my stash. Stamped the Hero Arts polka dot ribbon, family dictionary stamp and heart button. More white gel pen and liquid pearls.

Twinchie Series 4
Thought for the day off pinterest :
Still in the circle mood, so here's some more. The background was a piece that was put through an inked up embossing folder, then sprayed with perfect pearls. Punched up some pp circles and added glossy accents. Then some more drops of liquid pearls. It's amazing how they look like they are floating on above the paper - must be the shimmer or the perfect pearls.

Masked Spring Flowers
This was my second card for the card scramble at the Hero Arts flickr group last night..... I started at midnight and had 90 minutes to make, photo and post a SPRING card.
If you've never played in one of these, it's definitely worth a try. So much fun! A bit like playing the game "Don't Panic"!
With some of the ideas from the Clean & Simple 2 class still swirling around in my head, I decided to use masking and create a CAS card.
So this will also fit with the "Just Us Girls" masking challenge.

Plainly White
Homework for Clean & Simple 2 online class. I was not that happy with it in the beginning, so I added the touches of Liquid Pearl to the centres. Made all the difference.
Love is in the Air
For the CAS-ual Fridays Song Challenge. Coloured in the heart flight paths as they looked too empty, added diamond stickles for the flitter effect. The butterfly and love have glossy accents.
Also embracing the space for the Clean & Simple 2 homework.

Paper Piecing
For A Blog Named Hero Snip and stick challenge. Stamped the pattern on the card, and on 6 different pp. Decided to cut the edge to match the hexagon pattern. Put a strip of black on the inner page.
Here you can see the black strip.

Twinchie Series 2
A little bit of crafting each day is good for the soul.
So here's my twinchie of the day. I had a piece of card that I had covered with distress stains. Using the Club Scrap sentiment, I stamped and embossed in white. I used a marke to fill in the calm. Took a heart out of my box of punched / diecut pieces and mounted it on foam.

Twinchie Series 1
Having joined in the Twinchie Challenges on Show us Your Twinchies Challenge Blog, I've got hooked on these little beauties. And it's the perfect way to use up all those little bits of cardstock, pp, backgrounds I've created. So I'm hoping to reduce this pile of bits and pieces and work in progress ...
by making lots of these :

Love Twinchie
For the Love is in the Air Twinchie Challenge. I had this piece of card had done some stamp kissing - thought it would make a good background for a love theme. Added glossy accents to the hearts.
Floating Butterflies
Using little stamps for the Clean & Simple 2 Online course.
These colours are the palette for the February Chain Card Challenge. This is not my card for the challenge (that will be a secret until it has reached it's destination), but I couldn't resist these colours. Don't you want to join in to send and receive a real card?!

For the Hero Arts Masculine valentine's challenge, CAS-ual Fridays Love letters challenge & die-cuts CAS card for homework on the Clean and Simple 2 online course.
This was my original design:
(PS. Amazing how the brain works .... Shari talked of a Masculine valentine's card, and my brain got stuck on that! In fact the Hero Arts challenge this month is Love and Lace.)
Kraft & Kreme
Lots of white space for Clean & Simple online class and for Less is More Kraft and Kreme Challenge.
For a very special friend who will be celebrating 50 this month. She loves lace and vintage.

Gradient Stamping
Jennifer showed us how to do gradient stamping with a border stamp. I decided to use the CAS-ual Fridays circle border. It looked a bit bare, so added tiny Hero Arts stamps too.
Thought the faux ribbon could do with a little stitching ...
Lots of Mess .. & Happy splashes
I loved the sketch from the Less is More blog. It's got lots of white space, so also works for Day 4 homework for Clean & Simple 2 class.
I restamped the sentiment on white and punched out 3 of the circles, and mounted them on foam dots. I highlighted the 2 black circles by using glossy accents.
But I missed the deadline, because I was avoiding this ....
So many unfinished bits and pieces; too much on-line shopping. It's like my mind works too fast for my hands! I get into making backgrounds, to playing with different techniques and then don't get around to using them. Anyone else have this problem?
But I will enter it for Simon Says Stamps Anything Goes challenge.
I've done a number of these splashes using the Distress Stains. So much fun.
