Soft Hill Blossoms

One of my favourite stencils this year is the Altenew Hill Blossoms stencil. Such an easy way to create a lovely layered flower. The bonus is that you can get the matching die!

I added doodles to give it a more whimsy look ... extending them on to the embossed layer.

Another inch Strip

 Another water coloured inch strip on similar lines to this card. I changed up the colours and sentiment, and decided to use some striped paper as the edge.

Birthday Balloon

If I need a jumpstart to my creativity, I find the quickest way, is to go to one of the many cards I have pinned on Pinterest. Either I make it exactly the same or I change it up a little. Once I've made one, I find more ideas flow from that.

Going back awhile, I was so inspired by Amber Rain Davis' card using the Altenew Whimsical Herringbone stamp.

So I made a very similar one, but I used more masculine colours and instead of the die cut sentiment, I stamped.

Now I was left with the tiny strip leftover.

I rather like CAS cards and wondered how to use it. Fitted perfectly into the gap in the striped stamp from the Tie Dye set (I bought it for those little stripes!!)

Added a balloon, a sentiment and liquid pearl dots. Voila!

Soft Blossoms

First time playing with the Altenew Hill Blossoms Stencil! Doodling gives it another look (see Norine Borys' card - so inspiring). 

I wanted to keep this very pale, so when you do the first layer, use a very light touch - you should almost not be able to see the colour. 

I added some paint splatters so that it would carry on the feel from the patterned paper strip.

Primrose Wishes

Love the freshness of these Primrose blooms especially when you leave some white space. I had the green circle left over from this card, and thought it a little heavy to use on it's own. So I added a background "Make your Mark" by MFT.
