Candy Cane Circles

My new Christmas supplies from Pinkfresh Studio ... love the candy cane effect of the red rings behind the slim braided circles.

There is no stamping on this card which is very unusual for me. Wonderful to use the layered Festive Leaves Stencil and die, and the foiled sentiments are so chic.

Catching the foiled sentiments - I cut one sentiment into 3 to fit in the circles.

Jo's Christmas Kickstart Challenge Reminder

As the guest elf, here's a little reminder if you want to play in Jo's Christmas Kickstart Challenge. This month the theme is Poinsettias and Posies.

You can see my first card HERE.

I made a whole group of cards with the SSS Holiday Sprigs Stamp, Stencil and die set.

The card on bottom left of the photo, is made from the leftover "inside" of the frame I made for the card on the bottom right hand side of photo.

You can see how the berries pop with the glossy accents.

Here are the other cards ... simple frame and layering the leaves and flowers.

More crisp and CAS with this one.

Added a light touch of green distress behind the frame for this one.

Guest Elf at Jo's Christmas Kickstart Challenge

I was delighted when Jo asked me to be one of her guest elves on her Christmas Kickstart Challenge. Got me back in my studio and geared up my mojo.

This  month's challenge is "Poinsettia & Posies".

I used my new SSS Holiday Sprigs Stamp, Die and Stencil set. I love the light fresh feel to these poinsettias.

The frame has "floating" leaves layered on a background of stenciled circles

I tucked one poinsettia behind the frame, and the other is popped on top with foam to give dimension.

I used glossy accents on the berries and centre of the flowers. The sentiment is from Penny Black.

Looking forward to seeing what you create.

Soft Blossoms

First time playing with the Altenew Hill Blossoms Stencil! Doodling gives it another look (see Norine Borys' card - so inspiring).

I wanted to keep this very pale, so when you do the first layer, use a very light touch - you should almost not be able to see the colour.

I added some paint splatters so that it would carry on the feel from the patterned paper strip.

Bright Layers

This card is made from the leftovers of my rainbow series ... here and specifically here.

I used just the inner part of the leftover leaves and putting them in a white diecut. Mounted on a frame for interest.

To give some interest but still keeping it CAS, I stencilled with some embossing paste and sprinkled glitter on it. Stamped some dots in the same colours as the leaves.
