I have had this Fabscrap cardboard diecut sitting in my stash for years! And with 2 challenges for snowflakes this week, it was time to use it.
CAS-ology Snowflake Challenge & Addicted To CAS Snowflakes Challenge. I will also enter it in the Simon Says Make your own Background Challenge.
I created the background panel using distress stains (Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean and Brushed Pewter) with a splash of water. Then I stamped my sentiment stamp with the new Hero Arts silver ink.
For the snowflake I only used Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feather and Brushed Pewter.

Decorate the Tree
For the CAS-ual Fridays Out on a Limb Challenge in which you must feature a tree.
And why not some washi too?!
Snoopy
I've got my Snoopy back ... after nearly 4 weeks at training! And he is a changed, calm dog now. We still have daily practise to reinforce his new behaviour, but he has made wonderful progress in just 25 days.
And to go with the sketch challenge at Clean & Simple
Here's 2 wishes of Merry Christmas from Snoopy.

Sparkle & Sketch
Love the Wanna Sketch Challenge
and the Less is More Sparkle Challenge
Can always do with some shine in our life!
I took a embossing folder and added stickles to the dandelions - then turned it upside down to make baubles.

Added punched out pp, putting sparkles on the inner dot, and glossy accents over the two.

Merry & Bright
I have wanted to try use this stamp as holly ... and this is my first try.
For Karen's OLW Sparkle & Shine Challenge.
For Karen's OLW Sparkle & Shine Challenge.
I stamped the houndstooth leaf in Colourbox Lime ink and embossed in sparkle embossing powder. Very difficult to catch with the camera, but it has a lovely shimmer.
Wedding Flourishes
I was asked by a friend to make a wedding card that incorporated flourishes and the Taj Mahal as the wedding couple were planning to go there.
And then I see the Simon Says Stamps With a Flourish Challenge ... perfect timing!
The Hero Arts Flourish stamp almost matches the one on the wedding invitation. Went in search of the Taj Mahal in the Silhouette Studio Store ... Isn't the Silhouette just the best craft tool?!

My Kusudama Ball
Loved the Kusudama ball on Annabelle Stamps Blog. When I saw it I just had to make one, and just below the photo, instructions started with the first fold. I rushed off to get a square of paper and immediately started following the instructions (without reading to the end first!). I got to the end of folding the first sheet, and it said that made ONE petal.
And you need 5 petals to make one flower.
And you need 12 flowers to make the ball.
So I only had 59 to go!! I just laughed at myself because I had used a 6"x6" square, and that meant I would need 15 sheets of 12"x12" paper. So my one petal sat on my table for a couple of weeks ... but I couldn't resist it ... so I just started folding, and here it is!
Made with Fabscaps and Magenta papers and Hero Arts dots.
