CASology #246 : Season

When I saw the cue word of this week's CASology challenge, I just knew I wanted to use the Recipe for Happiness stamp set.

I'll give this card for my husband for our wedding anniversary as I just love the way we complement each other. It's so wonderful to have someone who's strengths make up for my weaknesses (and visa versa), and I don't have to be a master at everything! It makes for a much more tastier life.

A touch of embossing paste in a small area, keeps the card CAS.

Rainbow Butterflies

I was intrigued by the watercolor dip technique of Dave, so I decided to give it a try. I really didn't think the watercolour paper could hold up to that much water, but I love the results.

I white embossed the Simon Says Stamp leaf background to give some more interest.

CASology #245 : Grow

I'm sure everyone in the Northern hemisphere is enjoying the start of spring. While down here in the tropics we are only too happy that we've had our first cool evening. 

Luckily for us, we can grow things all year round. I have granadillas flowering and bearing HUGE fruit, but no carrots in the vegetable patch at the moment!

Although I'm not normally a person for using a bunny for Easter, I could not resist the Simon Says Stamp Spring Seeds set.

I made one set for a friend using different embossing folders for the backgrounds.

And one bright one for my son's girlfriend who is visiting from the UK. Lovely Spring colours.

Our CASology cue word for this week is STRONG!

I didn't have any sentiment in my stash that I wanted to use, so I typed up my own. A great way to decide on which font you want to use is the website wordmark.it, where you can type in the word or phrase you want, and it will bring up an example of that word/phrase in every font on YOUR computer. Simply brilliant!
