CASE a card

I'm trying to use up all the bits and pieces left all over my desk. Sometimes a stamp a bunch of layered flowers, but then I don't use them all.

CASEing the card from Global Design Project, I decided to use embossing paste as the background.

I love the lightness of this flower when you use only one of the layers. Then I added a few extra dashes with Copics to add another tone.

Trying to get the angle to sheow the embossing paste. I added the yellow ink to match the middle of the flower.

More Doodle Blooms

Here is the last of my few left-over doodle flowers. I thought I would change things up by using a coloured cardstock as the background. Love the colour combination of turquoise, lime and grey ... with lightness of white embossing paste and the Alexandra Renke Champagne bubbles stencil (NBUS).

I haven't decided what sentiment I want on this card, so I'm leaving it plain for the moment.

Lavender wishes

I love lavender and I love CAS cards ... so I'm making a card combining them.

It's quite a long time till I'll see them in my garden since I'm in the Southern Hemisphere, but here's a photo from September last year.

Rainbow Birthday Hugs

Here is another card made by die-cutting card stock that I had distressed in rainbow colours. (The first card can be found here, and the second set of 2 is here).

I'm using the rainbow outline only. Got more coming with the rainbow on the inside.

I used a stencil with embossing paste which was sprinkled with crystal sparkles while still wet.

Up Close on the yellow to violet side ... you can see the lovely shimmer on the stencil pattern. I also die cut some small hearts to match the colours.

Here is the green to red side.

Guest Designer

I was invited to join in the Marathon of Cards (En route vers 2021) challenge by le Creablablablog which is running until 3 January. For the 11th challenge, I came up with this theme :

 Or in English ...

I made 4 cards. For the first : Star, silver, embossing folder ...

The front panel was stamped and coloured with copics, then added 2 red strips vertically.
I added silver stars and the banner with sentiment. Doodled a few black dots to give a flow to the stars.
The silver cardstock was embossed with the 3-D embossing folder.

For the second : Bird, Gold, Embossing folder.
I die cut the rings out of the front white panel. Pass the front panel with snow embossing folder. I then die cut the same rings out of gold and inlaid them to where the white ones would have been.
Punch the bird and branch and pop up on foam.
Stamp and emboss the sentiment.

For the third : Tree & Star, Platinum, Embossing powder.
Die cut the houses, tree and merry square. Use a Versamark pen to make snow marks on the tree and ink up the merry square with Versamark pad, then emboss with platinum embossing powder.
Add Stickles for snow on the ground. Punch stars. Stamp Christmas in red Versafine ink.

For the fourth : Tree & Bird, Silver, Embossing paste.
Die cut the 3 circles from front panel. Use the tiny dots stencil and apply white embossing paste in a flow pattern ... from top left moving down to right and then down the center.
Stamp, colour and cut the images. I used Copics to colour.
Stamp sentiment and emboss in Silver. Tie silver string. Mount front panel and and pop up the images.

Pop along and join in this challenge, or any of the previous 10.  You have until January 3rd to submit your card.

I will also enter these to ...

Cream, Kraft & Cranberry Christmas 2

For my second card, I wanted to use embossing paste on kraft card. I paired it with my NBUS poinsettia die from Altenew ... just arrived yesterday!

I mixed some Antique Linen into my Altenew embossing paste to make it cream.

I added a touch of shimmer to the red centre.

Celebrate Today

In "The Great Weirdness" (as Susan Raihala calls it - and it's worth a visit to go and look at the cards she created), I think we have to look for small moments and joys to Celebrate Today.

I used some embossing paste with some added green ink to give the feel of those flowing leaves on the Pinkfresh Studio inspiration board.

The flowers were embossed in white and watercoloured with Distress inks.

I've left it sentiment free for now ... I'll see what I want to add when the need arises.
