Peace

I seem to be making a lot of cards with Peace this year ... I guess the world really needs it now.

Tweetest Christmas

The LOTV (Lili of the Valley) stamps are just the cutest ... love their trio sets. I had been wondering how to incorporate the 3 when I spotted the Freshly Made Sketch - perfect fit.

I white embossed half the background with the Hero Arts Raindrop background stamp. I created the sentiment circle with words from the new Hero Arts Happy Merry Messages set and drew the outline and holly to match the other circles.

Love, Joy & Peace Dove

My new Penny Black supplies arrived this week. I ordered both the dove die and the stamp set which has the same lovely artistic dove. So I have made 3 cards following the same basic layout ... one with the stamp, one with the die, and one with the negative of the die.

First with the stamp ... embossed in white ...

then the die with some Frosted Lace Stickles ...

and lastly, the negative of the die. I changed to watercolour, and decided that it was better without the magical background ...

Which one do you prefer?

Peace

I have my mother visiting, so I don't have as much time to get into my studio to play. But I have promised her some Christmas tags. I gave her my Christmas stamps to choose which kind of designs she would like, and this LOTV stamp was one of them.

You are Blessed

A quick simple card ...

Plaid Masculine card

It was my husband's birthday ... and he's a golf player who didn't play too well in his last competition. Thought the sentiment was a perfect fit.

Happy Stripes

This is my first card with the Concord & 9th Stripe builder set - paired with Simon Says Stamp Favourite Flowers, and Ellen Hutson sentiment from Up the Happy.

More Thanks

Inspired by Kelly's watercolour Bleaching card and technique, I used the WPlus9 Botanical Bunch with Carved Pumpkin, Abandoned Coral and Candied Apple Distress inks. I also added some White Wink of Stella to the flowers.

Made a second one, this time I only added the White Wink of Stella to 2 flowers ... and my water splatters were a lot more messy!

Welcome back

My mother arrives this week! Yay!

So a welcome back card is in order. I used the Concord & 9th die from their Christmas set and a new Alphabet set from Taylored Expressions.

Joy to the World

Absolutely love this stamp set from Paper Smooches. The stars are on 1 stamp ... a very old one from a company that no longer exists ... but it will always be in my stash as it's so versatile.

Thinking of You

Using golden oldie Hero Arts block stamps - they will always be useful! And a stencil, some text and branch and butterfly, and voila!

First card with stickles on the butterfly.

Second card I used some blue Wink of Stella to highlight the pattern, and changed the position. Which do you prefer?

Some blue wink of stella and some clear.

Smile

I got out my sewing machine, dies and paintbrush for this one ... and not one stamp used. Wow! Could be a first for me.
