Hello There

It's Tuesday ... and time for a new CASology Challenge. This week's cue word is TURQUOISE.

I've got quite a few new stamp sets, and I wanted to break out the Garden Friends from Penny Black. Isn't this little peeping hedgehog just the cutest?!

Using embossing folders are a great way to add texture but preserve the white space.

Happy Birthday Frame

I was inspired by Norine Borys's word frames, but I wanted Birthday cards so I used the Birthday Builder set.

I thought the bold black lines needed some balance on the frame, so I drew in a black frame. Which version do you prefer: with or without the black frame?

Easter Blessings

I like to give the carers that look after my MIL an Easter basket of goodies and a card or bookmark.

This is this year's collection ... bookmarks for the personal carers, cards for the nursing staff.

I used the olive bush stamp to make patterned paper, and used it to die cut the leaves and flowers.

Leaping Reindeer

It's time for a new CASology challenge. This weeks cue word is LEAP.

A great way to keep a card CAS is to focus on the negative of the die cut. The paper I used behind has a slight gold shimmer which is difficult to capture.
