Masculine Silhouette

It was my son's Birthday, and this new die arrived just in time.  Perfect as I can see him standing just like this.

No stamping - very unusual for me! Only dies, an embossing folder and the lovely metallic pearlized look on distress inks ombre background.

Ombre Hi

I have had new supplies coming in so fast! I find it helpful to go back to the cards and ideas that made me buy them in the first place.

I so enjoyed Seeka's idea of using one die behind the negative cuts of letter dies. So I pulled out one of my inked card fronts and went from there.

I obviously still had the actual letter dies left over.  I started by distressing them with Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean in an ombre way.  Then I thought they needed some more details, so stamped the SSS Outline Leaves Background and embossed in white.  I coloured the leaves with white pencil which helped them stand out.

I love this Stampin' Up embossing folder - so subtle.

Ombre Set

I was inspired by Zsoka's ombre cards to make this set.  She used the Altenew A Study in Watercolour set, but I used the Floral Shadow set. I mixed it up with a sentiment from the Uniko Birthday Wishes set.

Hero Arts Tags 4

The last in the series of Hero Arts tags mixing up the new with the old, and different stamp companies too.

Hero Arts Tags 3

My third in the series of Hero Arts tags from the November 2017 Monthly Kit.

This one is paired with "golden oldie" stamp. Anyone recognise the little bird?
It's from the HA Christmas Tags set.

As much as I tried, I could not get a good shot of the shimmer and sparkle of the Diamond Stickles.

Hero Arts Tags 2

Here is my second series of Hero Arts tags. This time I'm using the star from Stamping' Up Night in Bethlehem.

If you stamp the back piece on the "wrong" side of the die cut, then when you glue them together you have a clean cut finish on both sides of the tag.

Hero Arts Tags 1

I'm having fun mixing the November Monthly Kit 2017 (which is still new to me as I got it too late to use for Christmas stamping last year) with older stamps and ombre inks.

Ombre Times

I was playing with Hero Arts Ombre Inks. I was testing the range of colours with the lovely Hero Arts stamp. When I used the blues, I loved the effect.

I need another sympathy card - this time a more masculine one. Added the dragonflies in the reverse ink order, and a touch of pp.  Thought it would make a peaceful card for someone grieving.

Breathe

If you have been following my blog, you'll know that blue is my favourite colour. So how could I resist the inspiration of Marion on the Muse Challenge #101 this week!

I did some Ombre shading (with the Inkspirational Challenge : Designer Choice Ombre in mind), splashed some water ... and flicked drops of Wink of Stella (that's the white spots). I baptised my NBUS Dictionary Stamp from Kaisercraft as background behind the border die, so will enter this into Darnell's NBUS Challenge too.

A new phone cover

It's that time again ...

Time to change my phone cover!

This time I started with an ombre paper from MME - Cut & Paste. Cut out the small piece with the  telephone. Stamped words from Hero Arts, and the delightful heart speech & arrows from the MME Cut & Paste stamp set.

Fun!

Ombre

A lovely ombre challenge over on Fusion Card Challenge this week.

I went with both the sketch and the photo.

25th Wedding Anniversary

Today is my 25th wedding anniversary! What an amazing milestone ... so many wonderful memories, and so many more to come.

This is my card for my husband.

I knew I wanted 25 hearts falling into the 25, in an ombre look to symbolise the passing of time. I created the ombre colours using my gelatos and there is a lovley shimmer. I die cut this on my silhouette cameo.

I'm entering this into the Die cut challenge at Addicted to CAS
