A Merry Christmas

A little belated Merry Christmas wish to all of you. Hope you all had a wonderful celebration with loved ones.

I had a few last minute Christmas cards to make, and pulled out my NBUS Hero Arts November kit. I started using the green die cuts in the kit and stamping with Delicata gold.

Trying to catch the lovely sparkle of the Delicata gold ...

Then I stamped the white cutouts with the matching stamp, adding stickles and enamel accents.

Card Set

It's a joy to make cards for friends who appreciate them. So thought I would make up a card set as part of my Christmas gift to a dear friend. When I do this kind of thing, I make cards in the style and colours of the recipient.

I made a pizza box style box.

This is a close up of the top of the box.

I made 6 cards of the same design, but changing the colours and the embossing folder used for the background.

Here are the six cards ...

Kindness ...

The CASology Challenge this week is Kindness.

Kindness is free so let's sprinkle it everywhere.

I love the simplicity of the flourish and heart and didn't want to distract from it. So just a touch of glossy accent to make it pop.

Twelve Days of Christmas ...

This came together as I had spark of an idea for a special friend. She has had a tough year with a heavy work load and I thought she needed a touch of joy each day leading to Christmas. What better way than to have 12 Days of Christmas?!

And it was a great opportunity to use Ellen Hutson's 12 Days of Christmas stamp set. I decided to keep it simple ... 3 pieces of patterned paper, the 3 tags from MFT Dienamics Tag Builders Blueprint 2 set, and only colouring with a touch of red.

I printed out a label I found on a google search (but I can't find the link now - if anyone can let me know where it is, I would like to acknowledge the creator), and found a white box. I used plain white paper and red string from May Arts to wrap the gifts.

So happy that all the little gifts fit in the box perfectly.

I hope this is an acceptable entry to ...

Masculine Cards

The cue word for CASology Challenge is GRAY. I thought it a wonderful opportunity to make some masculine cards.

I pulled out my new Altenew geometric sets ... Building Blocks and Simple Shapes XL.  Not as easy to line up as one thinks - even with the help of my Tonic Stamping Platform. I will have to work on it more.

My second card was inspired by the design of Mayuri's card.

My last card ... I think this is my favourite with the metallic die cut.

Sparkle!

I'm so happy to be the guest designer at Addicted to CAS this week! It's time to Sparkle!

I used the marvellous glitter card stock, some iridescent string and metallic stars. I added Diamond Stickles to biggest to add extra sparkle! This is my card .... but I had glued it on the card upside-down!

So I cut it off and mounted it on a larger card... and I actually prefer it like this.

Dance in the Rain

It's Tuesday and time for a new CASology challenge. This week the cue word is STORM.

I'm keeping it monotone with this card. And I'm using this stamp for the first time ... been waiting for it for a while now. I had to wait for a friend to go to the States as they don't ship to my little island. I made the sentiment using the silhouette software.

Present and Name Place Card

When I spotted this "gift box in a card", I knew it would be perfect for the table decoration and name place setting. I had to adjust the box size so that the present would fit. (Shhh! Can't tell you yet as the dinner is next week!)

Christmas Joy

Another inlaid card ... but not so complicated. Just one branch instead of the two at the top. But added that sweet little robin from Penny Black.

Peace Dove

I knew I wanted the Bird dies from Ellen Hutson, but this is the first time I'm using them. Paired with a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.
