Colour Burst
It's been a while since I used this Dahlia stamp and die combination from Concord & 9th. This time I paired with the You die from SSS.

Delicious Celebration
Who wouldn't like a cake with style and a glass or 2 of champagne to celebrate!
This is the first one I made.
I was giving a class, and Stephanie made the background hearts and sparkles in a lighter shade. I think I prefer hers!
It's great to stamp along with others and everyone expands on the creativity. Love the synergy!

Blossoms and Butterflies
It's my last post as guest designer for the month for CAS Colours & Sketches. This week there is a sketch challenge.
I used the ink and spritz technique.
Here are the supplies I used ... with the Alexandra Renke Welcome Butterflies stamp set.
Complementary Colours
Turquoise and red-orange are complementary colours - in the traditional colour wheel.
I love this copper embossing powder ...
Although red, blue and yellow are considered primary colours, why do printers have Magenta, Cyan and Yellow as the inks to print all colours?!
Wouldn't you like to know? Well here it is ...
That was an eye-opener for me!
What do you think?

Thinking of You
This is my third week Guest Designer for the month of September at CAS Colours and Sketches.
It's a colour challenge this week.
I stamped in a light brown ink (Altenew Sand Dunes) then coloured with Prismacolour pencils. I have just received some Gamsol and so this is the first time I have used it. I love how it smoothes out the pencil so there are no lines.
Once it was all coloured, I put the card back in my MISTI and restamped the flowers with Versamark and then embossed with Princess Gold embossing powder. It's such a lovely soft gold.

It's time for a new CASology Challenge. This fortnight's cue word is DRAGONFLY.
I thought I would do some inlaid dies to keep it flat and CAS. To add focus and flow, I die cut some curved edges to make masks to add some shading.
I added Diamond Stickles to give those wings some real shimmer, and some Nuvo Crystal drops for a flight line.

Fly on over and check on the creations of the design team and be inspired. Looking forward to seeing your take on the cue word.
