English Garden Set

I'm so happy that this set of 4 products has arrived from Pinkfresh Studio. They came up with the brilliant idea of matching the stamping set with the die so it can all be cut in one go. In addition they have washi tape that can be cut with the same die, and a stencil to colour.

I decided to cut one set of the washi tape and make a set a cards.

I ended up with 4 cards. It's a quick and easy way to make a set of cards to gift!

The first card ... I embossed a grid and sentiment in gold, and used a die to emboss a border around the card, adding a few enamel dots.

Another shot to try and catch the gold embossing to match the gold foiling on the washi tape.

The second card is very CAS. I needed a Sympathy card and I wanted to keep it soft and airy. A splatter of ink to tie in with the NBUS  "Reglettes Ronds" die from Simply Graphic. (Ruler circles die).

Card three was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketch. I die cut the circle from the panel, then embossed with the Rustic Linen embossing folder.

The last card of the set used the wreath. I didn't want the full circle so decided to trim off one edge. Found some patterned paper in my stash and added the thin gold strip of washi from Altenew.

What do you think?
Would you like this set? Which is your favourite?

CAS Quartet

I started playing with the flowers of the Alexandra Renke Welcome Butterfly set ... and I ended up with four cards!

I wasn't sure what I was going to do so I stamped 2 sets of the flower with leaf, and the 2 individual flowers.  The flowers had two tones of inks : started with the pale pink, then dabbed on a darker shade to the centre.

I like the curve of the flowers and leaf and thought it would look good along a frame.  I wanted to keep it light so used 2 of the Alexandra Renke Oval Angular frames.

The second card was inspired by the CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. I wanted the bigger flower and cut out the leaves of the flower & leaf images.

Now that I had that little flower with 2 little leaves left ... and a tiny piece of ric rac ribbon, thought it was perfect for the CAS(e) This Sketch Challenge.

All I had left now was one big and 2 little flowers. Used the middle piece left over from the lace frame and added 2 die cut leaves.

Rose of Remembrance

I prefer to make sympathy cards in advance and have a stock to choose from for the sad moments.

This is one of my favourite rose stamps ...

Floral Squares Card Set

Here's a quick way to make a set of cards AND use up some of the stash of inked paper I have.

Go through your stash of inked cards. I have a lot of these because when I have finished a project and there is still some distress ink on my craft mat, I spritz it and smooch a piece of card to use up the ink.

I die cut the set of Floral Squares from Pinkfresh studio, and played around with the papers to see which ones I wanted to use.

Here's the full set done.

Unfortunately, this white linen card stock had warped.  I must flatten it out with the weight of some heavy books.

On this one, I kept a strip of the inked card to add to the edge.

I love the flow of this one.

Grounded in the earth ... floating towards the sky.
