Happy Thoughts

I keep forgetting to use stencils - but I still buy them!

So here's the lovely NBUS Uniko Wonky Stripes stencil paired with Altenew's Handpicked Bouquet in 2 colour combinations.

First with a traditional pink.  Love the flow of this flower.

Added some paint splatters.

My second colour combo is a soft lavender. This time I did doodle dots which are more subtle and controllable!!

Handpicked Bouquet

I'm back in my studio after a wonderful trip to the Amalfi Coast, then on to Exeter and my son's graduation. If you ever get to the Amalfi Coast, then the Path of the Gods with Sorrento Hiking is a not to be missed experience! Simply heavenly adventure.

But back to stamping ...

Using my brand new Lawn Fawn Just Stitching Double Rectangles.  I thought I would used them all connected before separating them.

Thinking of you

I've had this idea in my head for a few week but getting it done just in the nick of time for the Altenew April Inspiration Challenge.

I wanted to add just touches of colour, leaving white spaces, to keep it light.

Handpicked Bouquet

Here is the second stamp set out of my new arrivals from Altenew. I think this is my favourite stamp set of the moment!

This is my second stamped flower (see the first below - it was my first attempt and choice of inks). I have paired it with the lace die.

I added some Copic colouring to the blue petals as there are no extra layering stamps for those flowers.

As I looked at the finished card, I noticed the holes in the lace and thought I could thread some embroidery cotton through to bring in the pink colour.

I also changed the orientation.

A close-up of the threaded cotton and silk ribbon.

These 2 cards make me so happy. I can't wait to send them out.
