Favourite Colours

Yay! I get to play with some of my favourite colours! I started with the border left over from this card. Added an offset triple layer of the butterflies and a bold message.

Autumn Deer

Autumn days ...

The leaves were inked in Distress Ink and spritzed with water ... Mustard seed, Crushed Olive, Carved Pumpkin and Vintage Photo. I stamped multiple times to get the canopy of leaves.

Background distressing was down in Tumbled Glass, Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin and Blueprint Sketch.

I could not capture the colours of the real thing, so I went outside to see if I could get a better colour result.

Pretty in Pink

It's time for the September CCC Card Reveal for all the cards that went out over the globe. Mine went off to Denise in California.

I try to include at least 2 of the 4 options for the challenge, so this month I went with the sketch option and friendship theme.

I like to stamp up the envelope to match too.

Color Palette Option

or

Sketch Option

or

Gratitude

I've just received a few new stamp sets from Studio Calico. Perfect timing for the CASology challenge with the cue word of GRATITUDE.

To keep this simple, I kept it one layer with lots of white space. Added a touch of colour with Copics.

I'm so very grateful to the wonderful DT that inspires with their creativity each week. Pop on over to their blogs to see their cards.

Border Floral

Two new buys ... simply irresistible ... WPlus9 Floral border die, and Ellen Hutson Modern Graphics Patterned paper - love those thin uneven stripes.

I've got some Birthday's for little ones coming up.

Some glossy accents to add dimension.

Birthday Boy

This week at CASology Challenge, our cue word is BOY.

It's been many years since my son was a little boy, but how he loved all earth moving equipment. Every time we drove passed one, he would say, "WOW". The bigger the better! We resurfaced our driveway, and he was so happy to take a turn in the mini front end loader.

As I have never used the Memory Box digger, I thought it would be perfect for this challenge. In order to keep it CAS, I thought that one strip of "earth" would be enough and with one edge paper torn to give some texture.

There are some really amazing ideas from the design team this week ...

Framed Florals

I've had this card front stamped and sitting in my "to do" box for simply ages. Do you have a pile of unfinished cards? I seriously need to tackle mine.

Since I was watching the Laver Cup tennis this weekend, I needed to have something to do while watching all that exciting tennis. So took out a few of my un-coloured stamped images with my Zig Clean Color pens.

This is the first one finally done.

I used green foam to pop up the frame, and love how the colour peeks on the sides.

But then I decided it needed a little something ... so added some gold liquid pearls to the centres of a few flowers.

Imagine the Blessings

So many stamps ... so little time. So when I see a challenge that is ideal for one of my favourite stamps, especially if it has been in my stash for a while, it makes me happy to get it out of storage and inked.

I used my Distress Markers to ink the stamp, gave it a spritz of water and stamped.

Since there was quite a lot of ink left on the stamp after the first card, I decided to re-spritz and do another.  I think I may prefer the lighter shades. What do you think?
