Masculine Floating Die Cuts

I decided to try Jennifer McGuire's floating frames with non-floral images ... in this case, the Baroque Motifs of Altenew.

Embossed in gold and coloured with blue and green distress inks.

This is the inner square of the frame.  I thought it makes a great masculine card.

An angle view to see the popped up dimension of each piece.

And one of the gold shimmer.

Colourful Wishes

Wonderful to play with colour ... especially rainbow colours.

My daughter moved into a new apartment, and I wish her many colourful, happy moments in her new home.

I typed up the sentiments.

MF

I thought it needed a little more grounding so I added a tiny strip from a background stamp.

Summer Breeze

It's time for a change in season and a new CASology challenge.  The cue word is SUMMER.

Oh to stand outside in a summer breeze!

I kept it very simple by using only 2 colours.  On the first card, I used some paper piecing on her dress.

On this second card, I went with only colouring with Copics ... and my favourite ... blue!

Come and check on the creations of the design team and be inspired. Looking forward to seeing your take on the cue word.

Island Adventure

How about an island adventure?

We went to the Maldives in January ... sand banks on the ocean!

And then returned home to Mauritius! A lush green island.

Rainbow Wishes

As a lover of rainbow colours I'm so happy about the challenge at CASology this week ... the cue word is COLOR.

I used Distress inks to paint stripes on the card stock.  I die cut the Winnie & Walter "happy" word in the rainbow painted card, white foam and black cardstock. I offset the black to create a shadow.

I matched the colours of the flowers with the placement of the colours of the word.

Come and check on the creations of the design team and be inspired. Looking forward to seeing your take on the cue word.

Kaleidoscope of Butterflies

I love butterflies ... and lots of them! And a whole a bunch of them is called a kaleidoscope!

I wanted to create a sense of movement as they seldom stay still for long! Instead of a closed circle (for the wreath) I went with a spiral.
