Mini Wings 2

My second card for both the CAS-ology : Mini Challenge.

And the Less is More : Wings Challenge.

This is most probably my smallest flower and smallest bee. Mini indeed!

Soft Tags

I LOVED the inspiration over on MUSE Challenge this week - Shona, your card is delightful!

I love the colouring of the white embossed hearts, and the design.

The stamp for the tags, which are embossed in white, as well as the sentiment, are from Magenta. Painted them with Distress Inks. Made the border design using the Paper Smooches dot line die.

Playful Colours

So taken by the Colour Me : Playful Challenge this week!

What gorgeous swirls of colour! Love how it inspired me to use an older stamp in a new way. Painted with Distress Inks and then spritzed with Perfect Pearls. The sentiment is from Annabelle Stamps.

And a close-up to see the shimmer from the spritz of Perfect Pearls.

Mini Wings 1

Loved the inspiration by the design team over on CAS-ology for the Mini Challenge.

I know I'm going to do at least 2 cards for this challenge. This is my first.

I started creating this on a 3½ x 3½ " card, but then I decided to mount it on a larger card to make the inchie stamp look smaller.

Coming up Roses

When I spotted the inspiration at Muse Challenge, I thought, "Yay, BLUE, my favourite colour!", but when I sat down to create, my mojo took a complete different direction!

I went with Dawn's lovely soft watercolour technique on the Pretty Peony stamp. The background was created by stamping the Hero Arts Lattice Stamp and spritzing a lot with Perfect Pearls.

You can see the glimmer better on the angle.

I love the soft look.

A little bird ...

Making my mark, Addicted to Stamps Challenge ... by masking with stencil and using texture paste, and using a cloud mask when sponging the circle ... so can also enter the Mask Challenge at Addicted to CAS, and the Add a little Texture at Simon Says Stamp.

A close-up of the paste, and cloud masking ...

The sentiment is stamped and embossed on vellum. Although the Hero Arts bird stamp is an oldie, it's still one of my favourites - nice to pair it with the relatively new branch die ... good for the Nature Challenge at Hero Arts.

Monochrome Inspiration

I'm combining 3 challenges here .... playing with the lovely Pretty Peonies from WPlus9 and the Wet Paint stamp and die sets from Papertrey Ink.

Gift Card

When I spotted this die of Julie's at Ellen Hutson, I knew I wanted it! So much fun. This is my first card ... for a special friend. The stamps and dies of tags are from Papertrey Ink.

I was inspired by the ColourQ Challenge and photo inspiration.

I made my own sentiment this time.

And I am so excited by my find on Pinterest this week .... a website, Wordmark.it, that displays the text you type in, in ALL the fonts on your computer! What a time saver! I used it to find out the font for the word "gift" on my sentiment. You don't really need any instruction to use it, but there is a post HERE giving some guidelines.

Watercolour CAS(e)ing

I was so inspired by the Altenew design team members, that I did another CASE of the Lacy Scroll stamp. This time I was copying the watercolour effects of Iwona Palamountain. I just loved her colour combo and tried to replicate it.

I stamped the flowers in Hero Arts Bumble gum pink and the scrolls in Hero Arts Soft Sand. I just used my ordinary watercolours to give more colour and depth. I used an orange/red and a golden yellow on the flowers. And a teal, beige and a touch of grey on the scrolls. Then I added a sprinkling of black dots and a sentiment.

As this is one layer, I will also enter it to the One-Layer Simplicity Challenge : Blend.

Rose

I tried a new technique this week - a complete CAS(E) of Marika's card. My card was darker, I preferred a white sentiment and I added my little dots. This is going to have to go to someone who appreciates hand made cards - Took so much time. I used my Prismacolour pencils.

I must say that I don't think I'll be doing it again ... at least not with this stamp.  Lots of little fiddly bits.

I will enter it to the Rose Challenge at Inspirational.
