Sea You Soon

In this crazy world right now, I think we all have people that we haven't been able to see - some of them for quite some time! I was supposed to visit my mother last year in April, but it was cancelled ... and we still haven't been able to see each other.  But thank goodness for whatsapp video & cards!

Let's hope I'll see her sooner rather than later (but it's not looking good for now).

Time to Celebrate

For those who follow my blog, you'll know I starting making this card with my adult daughter in mind, but then decided it was too young for her. So here is the card I eventually gave her.

She has a special bond with our dog, Snoopy, so I thought this new stamp from Colorado Crafts was the perfect fit. Plus she has to wait for her present as we're still in lockdown.

Snoopy's just turned 14 and is getting old. This photo was from a year ago.

This was today ... still sleeping at 1:13pm. Looks like he woke, thought of getting up, but then collapsed back to sleep. He only woke up at 2:30pm! I often feel I have to check to see if he's still breathing.

I coloured with watercolours and gave the dog block patches just like our Snoopy.

Lavender wishes

I love lavender and I love CAS cards ... so I'm making a card combining them.

It's quite a long time till I'll see them in my garden since I'm in the Southern Hemisphere, but here's a photo from September last year.

Lockdown Greetings

We're now on day 43 of strict lockdown - out of the red zone, but still pretty much blocked at home except for our 2 shopping days a week. I'm getting tired of this second round, so needed something with a bit a humour.

I do give myself a little talking to now and again to remind me that I have so much to be thankful for, and we're not nearly in as bad situation as those who've lived through wars or those stuck in refugee camps.

So here's a hello from lockdown!

Could not resist another shadow box ... I wanted to use my NBUS Hero Arts Paper Layering Window Shutters die!

Cheers!

And if you want to see it in action ...

Wisteria Hello

Love the challenge at AAA Cards ... a one inch strip! A great opportunity to use smaller stamps. More NBUS ... the Mini Starry Flowers & Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder.

I stamped the flowers, then masked them. Distress around them. The flowers were coloured with Copics and I added little black doodle dots.

I added white enamel dots to the flower centres.

Here is a comparison of the Mini Starry Flowers to the orginal size.

Happiest Birthday

My Anita Jeram stamps arrived! Yay!

I was trying to make a card for my adult daughter who was to be celebrating her birthday under lockdown - for the second time - so wanted something cheerful. But ever had a card run away from you, and it was not what you planned at all?

I wanted to use the ray stencil to bring sunshine and warmth so that's where I started. Then I like the frame idea. Thought I'd add some grass & the 2 little bunnies.

So it ended up being more for a child.

I added some black doodle lines to my grass stencil.
