I love lavender ... and I have some in my garden. I seen bigger groups of them on my travels in Italy, but I've never been to lavender fields. But I would love to!
So I couldn't resist the new Hero Arts Color Layering Lavender Fields. Got inky as soon as they arrived!
I'm starting to play with the stamps and supplies that I ordered around Black Friday! Yes, it does take that long for postage! I could not resist this set from Simon Says Stamp ... and I could picture this card from the minute I saw the set.
I've had some beach sand in a container in my studio since one of my kids did a school project ... and that was at least 6 years ago! I've been meaning to make a shaker card with it, and now is the time.
I haven't made cards since before Christmas ... time to dig out some of those new supplies that I bought last year, but have never been used! On my first card, I coloured in with distress inks, but not using watercolour card. Not the best results, but I will still use it.
On my second card I did the background with distress inks and Taylor Expressions brushes.
The plant lady and plants were coloured with Copics. This will be for my mother ... she is an amazing gardener!
I also made some plant labels to stick in a pot when planting seeds.
