Robin & Baubles

I think this is my year for birds on Christmas cards.  I've just received a few of the Cool Chicks from Stamping Bella.

Following the inspiration from Julie Beech, I changed the chicks into Robins.

A different angle to catch the sparkle and shimmer.

This is the day ...

CASology Challenge has a new challenge - and the cue word is FAITH.

Watercolour is not usually connected with CAS cards, but I find that if you contain the image to a smaller area, then you still have lots of white space.

Come and be inspired by a visit to check on the creations of the design team. Looking forward to seeing your take on the cue word.

Framed Robin 3

Here is the final in my trio of framed robins (Here is the first and second).

I decided to put the "snow" in the frame this time.

Here is the Merry Trio ...

Upgrading a card ...

When those big Birthdays come around, you need to up the ante. I had a lovely rose gatefold card, but I wanted to make it extra special.  So I added numbers from the Concord & 9th Double cut numbers die set. I love that you can give that extra pop.

I felt the rose needed to be more grounded so added a knotted string along the green base.

I also made an envelope to match.

Golfer's 60th - Stencils

Playing around with more of my golf stamps and some stencils. I was inspired by the design of Karen's card.

I thought the plaid was a good fit for a golfing card.  I like the feel of depth even though this is a one layer card.

Golfer's 60th

It's my husband's 60th this week ... and he's a golfer!

This set comes with some great sentiments, so on the inside I stamped the "Always and FORE-EVER awesome!" one.

Here's the angle to catch the gold cardstock.

Appreciate

The weeks are flying by and it's time for a new CASology challenge.  The cue word is APPRECIATE

Although we tend to highlight it at this time of the year, it's something we should be doing all the time ... appreciating the people in our lives, the little and big joys and blessings!

I've just watched the acceptance speech of Mr Roger for his lifetime achievement award for the third time.  I love what he says ...

"....  All of us have special ones who loved us into being. Would you just take, along with me, 10 seconds to think of the people who have helped you become who you are, those who cared about you and wanted what was best for you in life. 10 seconds silence, I'll watch the time. Whomever you've been thinking about, how pleased they must be to know the difference you feel they have made. ..."

Perhaps it's time to send one (or more of them) a card showing them our appreciation.

Come and be inspired by the creations of the design team. Looking forward to seeing your take on the cue word.

Robin on a Branch

The little robin on a branch ... with a "snow" embossed background.

I love the thin circles from Altenew ... I used 2 of them.  Lovely and light frame.
