Sunflower

It's my last post as guest designer for Just Us Girls for the month of September.  Thank you so much for having me - I've had so much fun.

The challenge this week is a photo inspiration.

I used up some of my inked papers from when I have leftover distress ink on my craft mat.  

I picked one with yellow to red tones. I stamped my sunflower using Versafine Clair Fallen Leaves. I then used to water and a tissue to take away some of the colour from the petals and leaves. I added more Mustard Seed Distress Ink to the petals.

I added highlights with a white gel pen.  

A Cup of Thanks

I just love a cup of tea ... and blue is my favourite colour, so I had to play in the Card Concept Challenge!

I used the Hero Arts tea cup and tea pot infinity die sets, and stamped with patterns from the Pinkfresh Studio Semi Circle Patterns set. The tea pot needed a couple of times of stamping to fill the area.

Feather

CASology has their new challenge for this fortnight, and the cue word is FEATHER.

I found this wonderful stamp by Club Scrap in my stash.  I don't think I've ever used it before.

I inked it up with Distress Markers and gave a very light spritz.  

I just love the sentiments from the Uniko "Wonderful Day" set. A lovely mix of fonts. I layered the sentiment to preserve white space.

Added a couple of drops of Liquid Pearls in matching colours.
