For my second card, I used the top left hand part of the first panel (see HERE). This is the leaf stencil from Stamplorations.

Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday
I hope it's getting warmer in your part of the world and that spring has truly arrived.
Time for happy fresh spring colours. I die cut 6 "happy"s and distress inked 3 of them. The other 3 I used to pop up each coloured one. I found washi tape to match, and punched out circles and popped them up on the diagonal background.
These colours make me happy ... and I think it makes a good masculine card too!

Butterfly tribute
Sad news in the craft world this week, with the passing of Melissa (of Honey Bee Lane), and a DT of Stamplorations and AAA Cards. Stamplorations are having a butterfly tribute to celebrate and acknowledge her creative and artistic talents.
I am joining in the celebration of her life and talents, and send deepest sympathies to her family and friends.
I have used the Stamplorations Winged Things set. It was a 3 step process :
I am joining in the celebration of her life and talents, and send deepest sympathies to her family and friends.
- stamp the butterflies on the dark card stock with Hero Arts Unicorn pigment ink
- colour with Prismacolour pencils
- re-stamp with the ink and then emboss in white to make it really pop.
If you emboss before colouring, you can't get into to small areas or very close to the lines.
My entry to ...
... Paper Players Challenge : Colour I know my green is more teal than moss, but I hope that's ok.

Rainbow Butterflies
Combining two of my favourite things ... butterflies and rainbows! And watercoloring!
I added glossy accents ...
A while back I had to flatten a card and so weighted it down. And it flattened the glossy accents too ... and gives them a more velvety look. Nice to know there are 2 ways to use them.

See through Masculine card
Taking a masculine approach to the see through cards. Covered the card stock with distress inks and brushed over Perfect Pearls to give a metallic look. The inside of the card is blue and there is a matching white panel lining up with the front.

CASology #254 : House
It's so exciting when you see your children (and friend's children) grow up and make their way in the world. Buying your first house is one of life's momentous occasions, and I made this card for my friend's daughter & SIL who have just moved in to their new home.
I doodled the sun rays and coloured with Prismacolor.
This was perfect timing for the CASology Challenge : House.
Come and join in the challenge, but first pop on over and see the cards created by the CASology Design team.

CASology #253 : Clothes
I was so tempted to make a tiny tag with a babygro for this week's CASology challenge : Clothes as I have two friends about to become grandmothers for the first time. But I do have the sweetest dress from our sponsor, Stamplorations, and who can resist a party!
I used a small piece of black string to create a place to hang the dress. I doodled the stars and dots, added some Wink of Stella and mounted with coloured foam. Trying to catch the delicate shimmer of Wink of Stella is not easy.
Our design team members have come up with some wonderful cards ... come and see their inspiration.

CASology #232 : Cut
This week's cue word at CASology Challenge is CUT!
I used the same line stamp on my card and matched them up.
Grab your die cuts or scissors and join in the challenge.
Check out the Design Team cards for some great inspiration!
