Bits & Pieces tag

I'm still trying to use up all the bits and pieces ... and this came together as I was sorting by colours.

Ooh .. and I just noticed that it's the same colours as my blog header.

I offset the blue panel to add some interest while keeping it CAS.

Frankly my dear ...

I've had this stamp set for a while, but it's the first time I'm using it (A NBUS). Frankly my dear ... it's about time!

So happy to have the Stamping Platform to help me create the layers.

Pun Fun

It's time to have some fun with puns over at the CASology Challenge this week. At first I battled to come up with an idea using stamps from my stash ... I know there are lots of new stamp sets using puns, but they would take too long to arrive!

I found one very old wood stamp with a pun ... just too sweet ...

But then I thought I should use a more recent stamp. I combined the thyme from the Hero Arts set with the party sentiment from Casual Fridays Stamps. A splash of green and sequins to add a festive feel. And I'll be giving this to my friend, Rosemary!

Rustic Florals

The Card Concept Challenge #77 with the rustic door made me think of dry brushing. So I started with a piece of kraft paper and dry brushed white acrylic paint. Add a few flowers and voila!

Doubly Inspired!

I pinned this fabulous calligraphy card, and before I could get round to making a card

I saw the 3 amazing cards that Susan at Simplicity made from the same inspiration.  Now it's my turn!

Blue !

CAS-ual Friday Stamps are having a Blue challenge. Just up my street!

I used the Big Thanks and Bold Wishes sets. I created the bright blue twinchie yesterday ... inked up with Salty Ocean Distress Ink direct to the paper, stamped once with Versamark to get tone on tone effect (bottom right), and once with water to get the pale effect (top left) ... and a few splashes of water too.
