Watercolour Flowers

I can't get enough of the watercolour flower set from Altenew. I could spend all day trying out different colour combinations.

I wanted to combine a cornflower blue with a purple, but Distress Inks don't have that blue. First I tried with Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire, but it is rather sombre. So not all combinations work the way you envisaged!

So then I gave up using the ink and spritz technique and went with layers and the Altenew inks.

This is inspired by the Muse Challenge #234 made by Kim Heggins :

  • Her colours
  • Her design and placement
  • Using layered stamps

  1. Love both your cards Janet, pretty colours this week aren't they.

  2. I think they're both beautiful! Love the watercolour look of the first, but the second one is pretty too, with its crisp edges! So great to see you at Muse this week, Janet!

  3. Oh, Janet. I love both of your takes on the inspiration card. Really lovely cards.

  4. Two more really beautiful cards, Janet! Looks like you're having fun playing with this fabulous set and your distress inks! I love all 3 of your takes on Kim's card :)

  5. Two simply beautiful cards...I love them both. Your flowers are just gorgeous. Thank you so much for playing along with us at Muse!

  6. Love both your cards Janet and I think you managed to come really close to the colour you wanted with the distress inks, in any case its gorgeous!

Thank your for popping by! I'd love to hear your comments
