Wave

It's Tuesday and time for a new challenge at CASology. This week's cue word is WAVE.

I decided to look through my embossing folders to see if I had any that would fit that theme and was surprised to find 3 of them.

I stamped my starfish in different colours and paired them up with different "seaweed" looking dies. The sand stamp is an old wood mounted stamp from South Africa and is about 25 years old!! 

I added some white Liquid Pearls to give more dimension to the starfish.

It's your Day

Time to use up some of my glitter card stash. 

Here's what it looked like when I just put it on. This was using the Wendy Vecchi Embossing paste.

Once it had dried, the pink colour came through. Gives a soft pretty look. Decorated with punched Hydrangea petals.

Thought I'd try with another brand of embossing paste.  This is the Daler Rowney Texture Paste. I love how the white pops off the glitter cardstock.

A Bouquet of Thanks

I thought I would challenge myself this week for the CASology Challenge, and try do a no-line colouring CAS card.  The cue word is BOUQUET.

What better way to say Thank You than with a bouquet of flowers?!

I used a watermark stamp to ground my bouquet.  I stamped the bouquet in Antique Linen Distress Ink on Ranger Watercolor card stock and painted it with Distress Inks.  The lines bled a little (I forgot to use the smooth side of the watercolor card stock!!) so I used Prismacolor pencils to give more definition. I finished off with a few lines of white gel pen to add some highlights.

Cool Blues

It's time for the Chain Card Challenge Reveal! My card went winging it's way to Marga in Spain. You can click to pop on over to see what other cards have been sent and received. So wonderful to share our cards with other stamping enthusiasts.

I made a soft stencil background for my Scribble Flowers. Painted with Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks.

I followed one of the colour combos, the sketch and the technique of diecuts.

Sympathy cards

Sadly, I have need for more sympathy cards. 

I prefer softer colours for sympathy cards, and these birds on washi tape are so delicate.
