I was looking at the other entries on OLW130, and saw Ardyth's amazing entry (see her cards on her blog Maskerade). I basically CASEd it exactly with the closest matching stamps, but I used brads. The first is with velvet brads - wonderful texture.
The second was with a metallic brad - not silver, a matt look. A good masculine feel. But I wonder if I'll be brave enough to give this to someone.
LOLOLOL! I was so surprised when I came to your blog! And I had the same thought on the card with that tiny little focal point (can I really give this to someone?) - watch my blog on Wednesday! I think it's a great idea to use a brad - it adds a little more texture and interest. I always forget that I still have some of those!
ReplyDeletePopped over from Ardyth's ... love your cased cards as much as I loved the one Ardyth did ... super texture added with the brads! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteI too popped over from Ardyth's...I love your CASEd cards as much as I love Ardyth's. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI'm yet another who found my way here from Ardyth's blog. I just had to say I was so happy to read in your post that you weren't sure you were brave enough to send the second card. I love looking at the blogs of CAS cardmakers and I love the look of really CAS cards, but I can't bring myself to make them! LOL!! I just have a fear that the people I send my cards to would just think I didn't work very hard on the card and they'd not really like it since they are used to my layered and detailed style cards. But, my cards often take so long to make, I'd really like to simplify my crafting and go more CAS. Maybe someday.
