Spring Flowers

Can't get enough of the WPlus9 Peonies, the large and small sets ... even when working with colours that are a challenge to me. Orange and rusts are not in my comfort zone, but I love the photo. It reminds me of Tuscany, Italy.

Here's a picture of my daughter, and a view in the village of San Gimignano on our holiday last July.

Hello Sunshine

I've had this WPlus9 set for over a month, but this is the first card I've made with it. Just love it ... especially as I call my eldest, "My Sunshine".

I added Wink of Stella to the rain drops and the cloud outlines.

Sweet and Brighter

I got out my Inktense pencils for this one .... coloured some watercolour paper, added water, punched out circles and stamped sweet images and added that touch of Wink of Stella.

Loved the JUGS Inspiration photo ... and sneaking in just in time!

I spotted the green bowl with pink flowers on the shelf ... and the gingham pattern.

Cute Gardener

It's been a while since I used my little gardener from Lili of the Valley stamps. She is so cute.

I coloured her with Copics. Background was created with a stencil.

For my Mother

My Mother's Birthday's just after Easter this year, so 2 cards one after the other. She loves flowers and is green-finger gardener, so the card had to have some flowers. The Hero Arts dogwoods are one of my favourites ... and that they have the matching die makes it even better.

A close up of the dimension ... I curled the petals inwards to match the highlights on the petals. You can also see the light Envelope pattern that I stamped on the tag.

Easter ...

I wanted to make a special Easter card for my Mother and Mother-in-love this year, so I browsed Pinterest for some inspiration. There are so many beautiful cards out there, but this one by Kay Miller struck a cord with me.

I cut my crosses in Silhouette and used the More Fresh Cuts from WPlus9 for my flowers. The rays in background are Hero Arts Starburst Background.

I made 2 with the crosses having opposite colours as the top and offset. The first one I started by shading my background with HA Soft Sky, but my sponge had some turquoise residue so the colour was not true.

I made sure I had a clean sponge for the second card.

I split the Art Impressions sentiment by masking the bits I didn't want to stamp, so I had the beginning of the message on the front, and the rest inside.

Marilyn's Card

My friend, Marilyn, showed me the card she made this week and I had to show-case it. Such a bright beauty.

She used the technique of stamping an outline stamp image, and then offset stamping a solid stamp in colours.

It will make a great entry to the ColourQ challenge
