I think this last attempt turned out to be my favourite even though it is completely not my go to colours.
The background text is actually a Hero Arts stamp, but the die is PTI. I used Washi tape and diecut the word, and added 3 Enamel dots. I drew around the diecut in black pen to make it pop.
I added Clear Wink of Stella on the washi tape. I was wondering if it would stick - and it does, but you need to leave it to dry properly.
Then with the negative cut, I made this one. I mounted the washi die cut strip on dark grey cardstock, then filled the letters with glossy accents.
I am also entering this to Pretty Pink Posh Cutting Edge Blog Hop Challenge. The die (Wonderful Words : Birthday die) was obviously from Papertrey Ink.
I didn't realize you used Washi tape for the 1st card...so pretty, Janet! Love how you used the negative cuts, too!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great way of combining washi tape and die cutting - thanks for the idea, Janet!
ReplyDeleteLove the look of outlining the die cut - really gives it a pop!
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful! I love the black outline on the die and I love the birthday die on the washi flag!
ReplyDeleteLove both cards, and how super you used the positive and negative!
ReplyDeleteI like all the different colors and patterns in the "birthday". Very nice project.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are great - but if I had to choose, I would pick the one with the HeroArt-background-text. Thanks for sharing your ideas.
ReplyDeleteReally like your two for one cards!
ReplyDeleteEspecially love the first one! ~dots, color, design
I will have to try that with my washi tape
