I used Distress Markers as my ink. To start off, I spritzed a bit too much water, but that gives a more artsy look. I added pearls to give a centre as it had lost the details, and some black lines.
I wasn't so happy about the mix of colours as I had used Seedless Preserves instead of Dusty Concord by mistake. So the next attempt was with the Dusty Concord and Shaded Lilac.
This time I thought there was not enough water on the petals! So third time lucky ...
By adding the words below the flower, I thought it would work well for the CASology : Roots Challenge too.
Which look do you prefer?
Oh, pretty! I love the doodled grounding line - it works perfectly with your sentiment!
ReplyDeleteWell, Janet, each card is special, just like every flower in nature, slightly different, but always pretty!
ReplyDeleteYour overthinking it, they all look great.
ReplyDeletelovely Janet, really lovely! I would have taken way more tries!!!! LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteAMAZING!!
Beautiful water colored flower, Janet (but, I think they're all great)! I love that you chose the Iris...it's so perfect as we all yearn for spring! Gorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteLovely watercoloring of your pretty iris! This also works because an Iris is a bulb (root) plant!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous CAS design, Janet! Love the iris and the watercolour effect that you have achieved!
ReplyDeleteHow pretty! One layer cards can be so frustrating, I've lost count of the rejects sometimes!
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking part in the one layer challenge at LIM this week
