Rolling Bears

It's Tuesday and time for a new CASology challenge. This week the cue word is BEAR.

I was going through my stamps looking for bears when I remembered my Tumbling Bears rollergraph stamp. How many of you still have some? I couldn't throw them away - you never know when you might need one.

Instead of using them in a row, I decided to make a window card with a "view finder" rotating circle to create the moving image. So I stamped, coloured, cut and stuck the bears on a circle. I found a frame to match the size.

Here it is in action

Pop on over to the design team to get more inspiration and I'll be back tomorrow with my second card. Can't wait to see what little bear you might use.

I will also enter this to ...

See the Flowers

I've had a bad ink day! Stamping a second time with the MISTI to get a stronger black outline, and STILL getting a double image; splashing ink where it should not go, having a completed card fall on my cleaning sponge .... and on it went.

But this card survived it all!

Distressing with Distress Oxides is pure pleasure! AND you can paint with it over previous colours without the base colours coming through.

I added Diamond Stickles to the zig zag lines, and Hero Arts Lacquer to the centre.

Jumping for Joy 2

Here is my second card for the CASology challenge : cue word JUMPY.

I spotted this small Impala on the Hero Arts Safari set and thought it perfect! To keep the card CAS, I restricted my scene to a panel. I repeated the walking Impala stamp many times, and used 2nd generation stamping for the ones at the back. I highlighted with a white gel pen to the places where the light would shine.

Jumping for Joy 1

It's time for this week's CASology challenge, with the cue word of JUMPY.

I have two cards for this challenge ... the first is using a Silhouette cut file called Girl Jumping. I double stamped one of the background stamps of WPlus9 from the So 80's set, and added a sentiment from Hero Arts Safari Wild About You.

I popped the panel for added dimension.

Pop on over to the design team to get more inspiration and I'll be back tomorrow with my second card. I wonder what makes you JUMPY?

Geometric

Geometric designs are great for a masculine card especially paired with a bold sentiment.

My first card using a few of the "leftovers" that I have spent sorting out in the last few days. Hopefully the start of a good new habit.

Pearl

It's a wonderful challenge at CASology this week. The cue word is PEARL. There are so many possibilities for this challenge.

I decided to used Distress Inks and then spritz with Perfect Pearls to give the paper that nacre look. I used the negative cut of the SSS Circle leaves die first, glueing in the pieces using the positive shape to guide me. And then I added my sentiment and some Liquid Pearl dots.

A shot to capture the Perfect Pearls.

Of course I still had the positive cut. I went a lightly busier look, adding little dragonflies.

Here you can see the how I popped the panel on foam dots for dimension.

And the lovely blue Perfect Pearls.

Which one do you prefer?

Pop on over to the design team to get more inspiration ... and then I'm looking forward to seeing your take on Pearl !

Love the dots!

This stamp set is so much fun! And great for a masculine card too!

Pick some distress inks, add some of the doodle stamps and a sentiment, and voila!

Negative cuts

Having the matching dies for your stamps makes it easy to do negative cuts for the image to peep through.

Life is better ...

I actually won my first online challenge back in 2010 with a Pop up fold card, but it was great to see Jennifer McGuire take it to another level with an opening one. So I had to try it too.

I coloured the sentiment with Prismacolor to make it look like beach sand and sea.

The scene inside used a mix of stamps and dies from Hero Arts, Simon Says Stamp, WPlus9 and Ellen Hutson.

I added some glitter Nuvo to the flip flops.

Oh Happy Day!

May you be happy as a lamb who gambols in a field on a sunny day!

This week's CASology challenge has the cue word of FARM. I don't have many farm related stamps, but I love this little sheep from Hero Arts.

Pop on over to the design team to get more inspiration ... and then I'm looking forward to seeing what you farm animal will be !
