Butterfly waterfall card

It's been quite a while since I made a waterfall card, but this week's CASology challenge inspired me to get inter-ACTIVE!

In order to keep it CAS, I kept it to white pages and a white embossed panel for the holding strip.

I would have made it the true 7 colours of the rainbow if I hadn't run out of yellow and purple dotted paper. Amazing that we can have so much paper, yet still not have what we need.

Just for You

I'm a tea lover ... so happy that so many companies have come out with tea themed stamps and dies. The die is the largest from the Hero Arts Teapot Infinity set, flowers also from Hero Arts and the sentiment is from MFT. I thought putting the sentiment on a tag like a tea bag tag would suit this perfectly.

[Note: I have a sneaky trick to get the handle die cut as it is solid on the original die. I use the bowl from the MFT Beside Comfort set! ;)  ]

Any other tea drinkers out there? What is your favourite?
Mine is Earl Grey and English Breakfast.

More watercolour wonders

Up until now, I have mostly played with the Altenew Watercolour Wonders with Distress Inks and creating watercolour effects. Time to use the layering stamps and dies.

Turnaround Blooms

My first card with the Concord & 8th turnaround flowers. Such fun!

Spring Flowers

This is my first card with the sweet (free gift stamp set) WPlus9 Tossed Florals. Stamped on watercolour paper and embossed with white EP. Painted with Distress Inks. As I had originally not planned on painting the blue background, I painted over the lines so that the flowers and leaves would pop.

I decided to use the large "hi" die cut so that I would get the pattern. Added an offset die to make a shadow image, and embossed the background to add texture. I just love this Stampin Up Dynamic Ruffled 3D embossing folder. Colourful and bold yet still CAS.

Of course, you get two cards this way ... and here's the negative version.

Two very different looks from the same supplies!

Motherhood

The CASology Challenge this week has the cue word PARENT. I'm going a bit back in time with this one ... a very old but fun stamp from All Night Media paired appropriately with sentiment from Art Impressions, and a lovely big brad to anchor it.

Every day is a new Start

Another week flies by and it's time for a new CASology Challenge. The cue word is START.

I've gone with the idea of every day is the opportunity for a new start ... and each day starts with a sunrise.
