Mini Collage
The CASology word cue this week is TEXT. I had so many ideas buzzing around my head, and could have made many cards, but finally decided to go with a mini collage idea.

Melt
The CASology word cue this week is MELT.

Having wracked my brain with thoughts of ice-cream, melted hearts and snow, I had a spark of inspiration as I was going to sleep last night. How about melted embossing powder ... especially ultra thick embossing powder?! I have a big pot of gold UTEE that's never been used.
Keeping it super simple, I embossed 3 layers onto a square of thick cardstock (400gms), and pressed in my bold rose stamp.
Another shot trying to get the shimmer and shine.
Pop on over and be inspired by what the rest of the DT have created :

Think Spring
Oh happy day! I'm so excited be invited to be Guest Designer on the Simon Says Stamp "Think Spring" Challenge over on Flickr starting today. Come on over and join in the fun.
I went the whole hog and used some of their stamps, dies and stencils all on the same card.
Here's take 1 ... super CAS and fresh

And I used some green foam to pop up the inside panel of the tag ...
But then I thought perhaps the flowers were lost on the bold trimmed tag, so when to take 2 ... and added some watercoloring to the flowers.
I can't decide which I prefer. Does the watercolour give a bit more depth and interest? Or just make it more busy?

It's a beautiful world
I'm enjoying the Simon Says Stamp Circle of Leaves die - I know it's going to be a firm favourite.
This time I added Twisted Citrus to the mix, and used the inlay technique.

Pretty in Pink
I'm breaking out a new stamp set for me ... the Altenew Adore You set. Such pretty soft flowers that my first choice had to be pink.

Bit O' Green - Gift on a card
I'm playing with the wonderful Penny Black Butterfly, Copic colouring for the butterfly and Distress Crayons for the background for this card.
But it's not just a card, it's a gift on a card. The square is actually a coaster that is held on the card by temporary glue. I took some board, glued on the stamped card and sealed it with that auto-stick plastic wrap. With the high humidity here, it was best, and it allows for easy wiping.

Foliage
Spring is on the way in the Northern hemisphere (despite the threatening snow storms in the US). I've seen friends post wonderful photos of the flowers and new growth.
The CASology #240 Challenge cue word is Foliage.
I love the fresh green of this Hero Arts Green Hills - just right for spring. The leaf stamps are from Papertrey Ink. For the design, I took up Susan Raihala's challenge to make a fresh take on her basic layout--three images in a line and a sentiment underneath.

Everyday Magic
The cue word at CASology #239 this week is LANDMARK. Not many amazing landmarks in Mauritius but wonderful beaches and sea.
Soft distressing does not take up too much white space and keeps the card CAS. I stamped twice and cut out the 2 sand banks and some leaves to give a 3D effect.

More scrunched paper
Having enjoyed scrunching paper yesterday, thought I would keep at it.
I used red tissue paper for this one, and was inspired by the sketch of The Paper Players.
