Doubly Inspired!

I pinned this fabulous calligraphy card, and before I could get round to making a card

I saw the 3 amazing cards that Susan at Simplicity made from the same inspiration.  Now it's my turn!

This is my entry for ...

Up the Happy

I loved the aqua inspiration at Ellen Hutson's Classroom February Pin-Sights Challenge

I will also enter this in the Addicted to Stamps and More : Photo Challenge inspired by the clouds and grey zig zags.

Vintage Flowers

Mixing the Vintage Flowers with the rather modern fun papers from Doodlebug Design.

Blues II

Having used the die cut on my last card, I will use the negative leftovers for this one.

Not sure which one I prefer. So happy with this die.

Blues

The lovely little gem drops are from Annabelle Stamps.

I popped up the panel on blue foam.

As blue is favourite colour, I could not resist playing along with the Happy Little Stampers Challenge : Blue.

Prismacolor no line colouring

They say practise makes perfect ... so I'm still practising my no line colouring, but this time I'm using the Prismacolor pencils. You can watch the video by Shari Carroll if you want some tips.

[You can see the same Antique Rose coloured with Distress Inks if you want to compare]

I was struggling with working our which colours to use in my new 150 colour set. So I downloaded this colour chart and coloured it myself.

But I didn't like the fact that the chart didn't fit in my pencil case, and there were 10 lines on the chart but 6 containers in the box. I spent an afternoon cutting up the colours, gluing in 6 rows on a new piece of card stock that would fit in the box and then rearranged the container sets to match it all.

So here is what it looks like now ... so much easier to find the colours I want.

More no line watercolouring

My second card using Distress Inks for no line watercolouring uses the Hero Arts Antique Rose Stem stamp, and Papertrey Ink sentiment stamp and die.

My entry for ...

... the Muse Challenge #204.  I was inspired by Jenni's pink rose, rectangle matting and die cut sentiment.

No line watercolouring

I've been practising my no line colouring this week. I started with using Distress Inks (Candied Apple, Mowed Lawn & Peeled Paint) as watercolour paints on the Hero Arts antique flowers.

Bloom

I love this sentiment from Club Scrap ... so encouraging for those going through tough times.

Entering this to the Altenew February Challenge.

Tea cup of Hearts

What serendipity! Getting the wonderful Altenew Tea cup stamp set in the same week as these challenges. And I paired it with the hearts from WPlus9.

... Fusion Challenge : Pretty in Pink  I loved the photo with the pink dots, embossed pattern on the tea pot and hearts.

Card Scramble 148

I love playing in the Hero Arts Flickr Group card scrambles, and I've missed the last few. This time it was a 24 hours one. You get to make your card in 90 minutes, within a 24 hour period.

LaVon gave us the challenge of making a background.

Here are my 2 cards. First I coloured with Distress inks.

Second, I inked up with distress inks and spritzed.

I will enter this in ...

...the Muse Challenge #203:  I was inspired by ...
... repeat stamping of an image
      ... colouring in different colours

A cup of Tea

I love my cup of tea ... or two ... or three. So I was delighted with the new Altenew Teacup set.

Here are my first three cards. Firstly, keeping it CAS in an ever so delicate pink, one with ric rac ribbon from May Arts, the other with twine.

I have lovely small design patterned papers from Lili of the Valley. I can see me using many of their designs with this stamp set. I added some shading to give more dimension.
