Delicate Tags

I had some uncoloured Delicate Flowers from my previous card.  Decided to change up the colours and make it soft and light. I wanted to keep the background light so that it would not overpower the sweet tags, so I coloured some embossing paste with the same colours as the tags and flowers.

I seem to be into fussy cutting these days!

Peeping Flowers

I've still got so many NBUS items in my stash.  I'm trying to make a concerted effort in using new stuff. I bought these delightful Pinkfresh Studio tags last year and I'm only getting around to using them now.

I added some Tonic Nuvo Glitter Gloss to the centers.

Mixing Old & New

I don't like to part with my much loved older stamps. I think I have some that are over 20 years old! So I loved seeing the challenge at A Blog Named Hero with the theme of combining old with the new.

My NBUS Tulip stamp combined with the quite old Brushstrokes set. The frame is cut out of biscuit box card ... the South African boxes have a wonderful kraft effect on the inside! Bonus!

The Male Room Guest Designer

I am so happy to be guest designer at The Male Room for this fortnight's challenge.

With the difficult times we are going through across the globe, I think everyone needs some encouragement. My son started his new job 2 weeks before the lockdown and has had to work on his own from home since then.  Being on a computer screen all day by yourself without much support or interaction can be quite discouraging. And it's a long road ahead. So this card is for him.

Morning Song

Some stamp sets you just have to have ... and the "Free as a Bird" from Stampin' Up was one of those. This is my first card with it. The sentiment is from the Pinkfresh Studio set called Aviary. Also a NBUS.

Mistletoe Magic

Lovely Lavender

It's been lovely to see Susan Raihala's posts on her blog Simplicity, and I've loved the white on white matting and frames (see here, here and here). I'm so inspired by her CAS design so I thought I would try do a white on white card.  

I love lavender and so was happy to get the new Hero Arts Lavender Bunch.  This is my first card with it and used the no line watercolour technique.
