Flowers that Bloom

I'm trying to use my dies and patterned paper more as it doesn't come naturally - I'm a real stamper at heart and by years of experience.

Marvellous Misti

I've always battled to line up these layered stamps, and am so delighted with the results using the Misti. I wasn't even being extra careful as I was doing a super-quick demo to a friend. The one on the right is absolutely perfect, the one on the left just a touch out. But I'm happy!

Birthday Balloon

I seem to be getting the hang of these die cuts now ... another one that has been in my stash for a couple of months that I'm finally getting to use.

After distressing my balloon in blues to create the ombre effect, I gave a good spritz of Perfect Pearls to give a lovely shimmer like a metallic balloon.

Vibrant Colours

I love the vibrant colours on the Fusion Challenge : Elegance this week, and I'm sneaking in with a submission just in time!

I went with the colours of the photo (well I thought I had - I remember it as a vibrant pink. Goes to show how one's brain works sometimes) and inked up some glossy cardstock with alcohol inks which I then die cut.

Pages for Jane 1

We have a wonderful tradition in our book club. When you have your 60th Birthday, you get a scrapbook with a layout done by each member. We get together for a morning or two to bring it all together. This time it was for Jane, who missed the 60th birthday deadline as we only started after her milestone, so it was for her 75th.

As Jane loves flowers and gardening, we decided to go with a theme of flowers. I made a box for the album.

Here is the front cover

The first page ...

Lesley's page ...

This is one of the pages I made (I made a few extra as some of the members were away travelling).

And another ...

And a close up of the one side.

I'll be showing some more of the pages in the days to come.

I'll enter this one in the Colour Me Challenge : Subtle.

Mom

Since I started stamping over 20 years ago, I'm much more at home with my stamps than dies. Getting to use some of my "new" diecuts that have been sitting here for weeks if not months.

Marilyn's Card 2

Another lovely card from Marilyn. She doesn't have a blog, so I'm posting this for her.

This is a small 3"x3" card.  She used the ever so delightful WPlus9 Pretty Peonies, and Dienamics Pierced Circle die.

A perfect fit for the Addicted to Stamps Challenge

Joy

So inspired by Jill's card and it goes to well with the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge.

I was using the Simon Says Stamp Butterflies die. I stamped the Joy using the Hero Arts Curly Alphabet in Delicata gold. The frame die is from WPlus9

I thought it needed more definition so drew black and white lines to give highlights and shadows.

Showers and Flowers

As I had some WPlus9 flowers left over from my Spring Flowers, I made another. Wanted a bit of texture, so used embossing paste and stencil for the background.

Spring Flowers

Can't get enough of the WPlus9 Peonies, the large and small sets ... even when working with colours that are a challenge to me. Orange and rusts are not in my comfort zone, but I love the photo. It reminds me of Tuscany, Italy.

Here's a picture of my daughter, and a view in the village of San Gimignano on our holiday last July.

Hello Sunshine

I've had this WPlus9 set for over a month, but this is the first card I've made with it. Just love it ... especially as I call my eldest, "My Sunshine".

I added Wink of Stella to the rain drops and the cloud outlines.

Sweet and Brighter

I got out my Inktense pencils for this one .... coloured some watercolour paper, added water, punched out circles and stamped sweet images and added that touch of Wink of Stella.

A pink Bunch

Loved the JUGS Inspiration photo ... and sneaking in just in time!

I spotted the green bowl with pink flowers on the shelf ... and the gingham pattern.

Cute Gardener

It's been a while since I used my little gardener from Lili of the Valley stamps. She is so cute.

I coloured her with Copics. Background was created with a stencil.

For my Mother

My Mother's Birthday's just after Easter this year, so 2 cards one after the other. She loves flowers and is green-finger gardener, so the card had to have some flowers. The Hero Arts dogwoods are one of my favourites ... and that they have the matching die makes it even better.

A close up of the dimension ... I curled the petals inwards to match the highlights on the petals. You can also see the light Envelope pattern that I stamped on the tag.
