I wanted to offset the solid image from the outline ... as if the wind was blowing it! I'm going to send this to my mother who has come down with bad flu.

Hero Arts Card Scramble #116 : Card 4
Thought I'd play along while everyone was also having inky fun.
Hero Arts Card Scramble #116 : Card 3
Mixing it up with the solids and outlines for the Hero Arts Card Scramble #116.
This time the solids and outlines were completely different.

Love the fresh look that the circles give to the flowers.
I will also enter this in to the Freshly Made Sketches 200 Celebration Challenge
Hero Arts Card Scramble #116 : Card 2
For my second sample card for the Card Scramble : Outlines and Solids at Hero Arts Flickr group, I went with hearts.
I added Wink of Stella to some, and Glossy accents to others, leaving some plain.
I will also enter this in to ...
... and the ColourQ Challenge
Hero Arts Card Scramble #116 : Card 1
I have been so inspired lately by a number of cards (especially by Dawn of WPlus9), papers and fabrics that have used a mix of outline and solid images.
So that’s the Card Scramble Challenge I set up at the Hero Arts Flickr group : Use a mix of outline and solid stamps.
My first sample card used the basic shape of a hexagon in both solid and outline, adding in outline bees.

Having seen it on the screen, I decided it needed some Wink of Stella on the wings to give that extra touch.

Strip Down #2
Having started playing with Jennifer's Faux Textured Metal technique, I had to try one actually adding the textured part.
I went with straight lines this time so that it will definitely qualify for the One-Layer Simplicity Strip Down Challenge.
Using my new Echo Park embossing folder, I went for a more graphic, masculine card which goes well with the faux metallic look.
Strip Down #1
I haven't made it to my craft studio much in the last few weeks, but when I saw the Strip Down Challenge at One-Layer Simplicity Challenge, I just HAD to get there and make something. I have been zooming through some blogs here and there, and managed to watch pieces of Jennifer McGuire's Faux Textured Metal paper video, so I really wanted to try that out too.
I knew I was pushing the limit on the deadline, but as I love butterflies I was hoping to sneak it in to the CAS-ology Wings Challenge too, but it was dinner time, and I missed the deadline! I'm not sure my curvy lines count for the Strip Down challenge, and I didn't add texture to the shimmer on this one, but I love the effect.

A closer view of the lovely shimmer.
