Hero Arts Cling Stamps
For Ellen Hudson LLC Hero Arts Cling Make 'n Take. I used the open and solid cling flowers, with the matching paper and the graph background. The row of gems give a hint of the magic to come.
Hero Arts Wood Stamps
For Ellen Hudson LLC Hero Arts Wood Stamp Make 'n Take. I haven't got any of the new 2013 stamps, but I played with some of my favourites ... the hydrangea and La Lettre script to make this magical card. I made this with a very special friend in mind.
As you pull the tag, the magic happens

Christmas Bags
Decided to make the bag in a box with Christmas paper from Echo Park! Love how they turned out.
For my 2 daughters I used the holly pattern. They look so chic.

The Hero Arts poinsettias adds a lovely touch. Pearl brad is from the Carta Bella Christmas Day collection.
For my son, I chose the plaid pattern and made the bag taller.
Made a handbag using the back side of the plaid pattern. The large gem on the fastener gives it a great look, and I love the liquid pearl dots flowing from the flower.
Will make a lovely display under the tree.

The cutest thing ...
These Snowman Poop little gifts are the cutest thing. Thanks to Whimsie Doodles for the freebie printouts! I've just had the most fun making these.
Started with one for my eldest daughter - her favourite colour has been purple since she has been tiny ...
In Christmas red for my son ...
In turquoise because it makes me think of snow

Embossed Stars
I loved these 3D stars from last year, but put them through the embossing folder and added Diamond Stickles.

More Blue
Blue is really my go-to colour . . . you just have to look in my wardrobe, soft-furnishings and my cards! So another card for CAS-ual Fridays Winter Blues Challenge, using that magical background from Hero Arts and the last of my embossed baubles. I matched the pearls to the ink using copics.
Christmas in the Summer South
Christmas in the southern hemisphere where it is summer is oh so different. And so hot! We don't have poinsettias because they flower in winter! But we do have hydrangeas, and they are our Christmas flowers. Perfect for the CAS-ual Fridays Blue challenge.

While trolling pinterest this weekend, I found these wonderful box in a bag by Diana Gibbs, with a variation by Jill's Card Creations. I just had to make them. I used papers from Echo Park.

24 Hour Card Scramble . . . and counting . . . and a giveaway
The Hero Arts Flickr Group are running a 24 hour Card Scramble. It started 6:30pm CST (Central Standard Time) on the 16th. That's 4:30am on the 17th my time - I couldn't get up that early. But I have joined in from the 3rd round.
Each scramble runs for 90 minutes which gives us a 30 minute breather until the next one starts. Come over and join in the fun.
I will post my cards as I make them.
Round 3 : Rachelle's Challenge (Theme Get Well, Create it for a child, incorporate a button, or/and include at least 3 textures.) I love the new Hero Arts embossing folders - here's the Chevron. Stamped the flower, cut out and distressed. And was so happy to use a butterfly button - I keep forgetting to use them. I have also entered this in the Scrap Africa Chevron Challenge.
Round 4 : Marcy's Challenge (Theme On the Edge, using a punch or die on the edge of the card only). I wanted to make one for each of my 2 daughters studying in the UK. They will be home for Christmas!
Round 5 : Cecilia's Challenge (Theme All that glitters is not gold or silver. Make sure your card glitters.) I had spotted a card I wanted to case from pinterest - you can spot it on my board. I used Holographic embossing powder and distressed with Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Faded Jeans Distress Inks. Added 3 holographic gems. This is good for CAS-ual Fridays Blues Challenge.
Round 6 : My Challenge (Include a TAG on your card. It doesn’t matter if it is big or small, one or many.) I made 4 and enjoyed every minute.
Round 7 : Lindas Challenge (Repeated Stamping - use the same stamp for background AND focal point.)
I was still stuck on the tag theme for my first one
Round 8 : Cat's Challenge (Shaped Card that has no white or off-white!) This was so out of my safety zone, that I nearly didn't play. But then I spotted the red card and went with it.
Round 10 : Karen's Challenge (Red, gold and cream ONLY!)
The gold cardstock is from Hero Arts (could be 10 years old!!) But absolutely brilliant stuff. Been hoarding for years. Amazing with the embossing folder. Card is cream, but since it's so late I had to use my flash.
I don't think I'll be able to stay up to make the 11th & 12th!
To celebrate this creative celebration, I have a giveaway. Just follow me and leave a comment to enter the draw. You have until midnight on Sunday 18th November.

Round 9 : Lucille Challenge (Animal of a different colour). Another challenge out of my comfort zone - but I loved it in the end. That's what is so good about challenges.

So Torn
For CAS-ual Fridays Challenge - So Torn
Playing with my new Hero Arts embossing folders. This one I inked up with their Stone Wash Mid-tone ink. Mounted the panels on foam tape to give dimension. Added diamond stickles to the stars.
