  2. The colours on this are so lovely Janet! My guess is that you inked the debossed side of the embossing folder with distress ink, ran it through the CB and then spritzed the paper with water and/or perfect pearls to let them bleed a bit.

  7. Ok, I think you used a white crayon to rub over the embossed part and then inked with distress inks, spritzed and rubbed off with a paper towel. maybe. :) sooo pretty!

  9. You embossed the background and did some trick with the ink. I can not guess better:)

  10. You emboss white paper first with your cuttlebug; then you put some white embosing ink, then heated it with the gun and then gently put some Tim Holtz distressing ink. whoooo hooooo

  11. My guess is that you inked up your embossing folder, it's something I've tried once? But there is something extra. You spritzed the paper with water before or afther running it through your cuttlebug. One thing is certain: IT'S GORGEOUS!

  12. My guess is that you embossed the flowers and then distressed with various inks around and overtop of the flowers. And then rembossed again to give it a more dramatic look. Great card bye the way.

  13. I guess you ink the embossing folder inside before embossing. So the "debossed" area will be inked and the embossed area will have no ink.

I did it some times in past and always like the results.

    Love your card!

  14. Janet, Great job and thanks for the chance, and
I will go with the white crayon on elevated embossing, kinds of like a reverse resist, then using distres inks and maybe spritzing. I used that method recently so that is why I will go with that guess.
    Have a good day,
    Donna

  20. Haha! I find it mind-boggling, Janet! I'm guessing that you inked up the CB folder and run the paper through? I'm not good at guessing...but I just want to stop by to say hi. You can leave me out for the draw as I want to give others a chance! So sweet of you to do so!

  21. My guess is..since there are 2 papers there. You use tissue paper that spritz with some inks like glimmer mist.then you place the tissue paper on top of the white cardstock then while still wet, you place it on the white cardstock.the embossing folder probably you applied use bleach or crayon on the raise pattern part before and run it through the cuttlebug machine ehich probably create a white design :P.

  22. I'm guessing it involved ink and the CB embossing folder, but other than that, I don't know! :) It sure does look gorgeous though!

  23. LOVE these sea colors!! My guess is inking your embossing folder before you ran it through your c'bug. I'd love to know which inks you used.....thanks for the chance to win these great stamps!

  24. I'm guessing that you embossed and then distressed? I'm a "new hat" too :) Your card is so pretty with the blues! Thanks for the opportunity to win these goodies - I love those leaves!

  25. I had originally thought you rubbed the embossed paper w/ distress inks. However, the idea of inking the Cuttlebug folder first sounds like that might be what you did. TY for the chance to win. LK :)

  26. Beautiful! I think maybe you used some alcohol ink after embossing and stitching your card, rubbing the acess of the raised image. and maybe distressed some too.

  27. What a mystery! I try to guess. After you embossed with Cuttlebug, you used the sponge (or whatever) and inked it with distress ink. Then you used your soaking brush and go over to certain areas you like to darken.. Ow..ow.. LOL, that's my guess.

  28. I have absolutely NO idea what you did, being technique challenged myself and not having a CB, which I'm assuming you used here. But the results are gorgeous!

And thanks so much for adding this beauty to the Gratitude Collection!

  29. What a great idea - technique guessing.
mmmmm my guess is blended distress inks on the embossed cardstock and then spritzing it with water?? Whatever you did, has given your card the most wonderful effect. Beautiful, Janet.

  30. My guess is that you inked the embossing folder first, for the paler colour on the cardstock.. then you ran the cardstock through the folder, and highlighted areas with the ink directly on the some areas. It's a lovely card.

  31. Oh my, your card is super Gorgeous. But I have no idea what you did, I just know you embossed the cardstock. LOL
